    Effects of resettlement on the social structure of the population residing in the brown coal area west of the Rhine. Topics: Leisure behavior; social integration; sociability (index); geographic mobility; media usage; party preference; attitude to saving; credit purchases; judgement on the local job market situation; change of job; use of various means of transport; rent costs; size of residence; house ownership; personal economic situation. Among those already resettled: general judgement on the resettlement process. The subgroups "villages to be resettled" (299 respondents, ZA Study No. 0166), "already resettled villages" (296 respondents, ZA Study No. 0167), and "neutral" (thus not impacted by resettlement) villages (403 respondents, ZA Study No. 0168), were interviewed by means of the same questionnaire. With the group of those already resettled additional data were surveyed.
