    Determination of the course of the day over 24 hours as well as description and time length of activities conducted specifying place and interaction partners. Topics: Time budget; performing shopping and trips to government offices; influential persons in shopping decisions; social integration; club membership and participation in club events; regional mobility; media usage; residential furnishings; daily and weekly time worked; shift work; party preference and behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election 1961; religiousness. With men: participation in work in household. Demography: age(classified); sex; marital status; number of children; religious denomination; occupation; professional position; employment; income; size of household; composition of household; head of household; regional origins; possession of durable economic goods; membership. Interviewer rating: type of building; residential area; housing conditions; distance to nearest large city; city size; weekday of interview; length of interview; interview surroundings.

The study is part of an international comparative investigation (ZA Study Nos. 0266 to 0279). This is a data set with hierarchic data structure. The specified number of cards refers to the maximum number of cards per respondent. A reduced data set in a rectangular format, contining only number, length and type of activities as well as demography and the additional survey topics, is also available.
