    Attitude to centralistic and nationalistic government leadership. Topics: Attitude to a National Socialist party, a national leader personality and a nationalistic foreign policy; attitude to strengthening the decision-making responsibility of the federal chancellor, a strong opposition and fixed mandate of members of Parliament; assumed jeopardy to political and social freedom from trade unions, military and parties; criticism of the government; naming self-satisfied politicians; honorary activities and membership in clubs, trade unions or a party; local residency; party preference; smoking habits. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; religious denomination; religiousness; school education; professional position; employment; income; household income; size of household; composition of household; housing situation; refugee status; possession of durable economic goods; present and past offices held. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts; interview surroundings; presence of other persons. Also encoded were the interviewer characteristics age and sex as well as city size and whether the interview took place at the original address or a substitute address.
