    Experiences and attitudes of the residential population to personal residential area, in particular regarding its features such as green areas, play areas, businesses, public facilities and its traffic development. Relation to the center of town and use of the offerings of innerurban functions as well as the extent to which informed about and participation in local proceedings and events in Karlsruhe. Topics: Earlier places of residence; reasons for moving; local residency; regional origins; favorite place of residence; current housing situation und satisfaction with residential area; attitude to living in the city region Karlsruhe (index); advantages and disadvantages of desired residential area as well as rejected settlement area; residential property; type of tenancy; number of rooms and square meters per person; desired type of building and desired floor; advantages and disadvantages of the residential area; play opportunities for children; practicality of the playground facility; disturbances by one´s own or other´s children; opinion on use of green areas and recommendations on structuring green areas; having a yard and owning a pet; use of excursion and relaxation opportunities in the surrounding countryside of the city region; walks; leisure behavior; vacation destinations; having a yard and interest in yard; relations with residential surroundings and the center of town; extent and degree of identification with the city community; naming sights worth seeing in Karlsruhe; reading local reports in newspapers; judgement on the activities of city management; shopping in the residential area or in the center of town; shopping according to product groups; mail-order and favorable shopping sources; purchases at the weekly market and from traveling traders; distance to regular stores; hedging off the city; participation in cultural events; means of transport used on the way to work.
