    Local ties, political, economic expectations and East-West orientation of Berliners. Topics: Judgement on economic development in comparison over time and expectations of the economic future; assessment of the mood among the population of Berlin in view of the continual burdens; intent to move away from Berlin to East Germany or the FRG; judgement on the economic recovery of Berlin, the problem of the unemployed and the unhindered influx of refugees; judgement on the effort of the FRG and the western powers for Berlin; visits in the ´east sector´ and in the ´east zone´; assessment of the superiority of the East or the West and comparison of the government effort for young people; attitude to reunification and assumed attitude of the four powers; perceived increase in political pressure on the part of the East and satisfaction with the conduct of the western powers; membership in a club, a trade union or a party. Demography: age (classified); marital status; religious denomination; religiousness; school education; occupation; household income. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts.
