    Comparison of the image of the USA and the Soviet Union as well as attitudes to questions of international policy. Topics: Most important domestic and foreign policy problems of the FRG; attitudes to various countries, selected heads of government, the leadership role of the USA and American foreign policy; desired East-West orientation of the FRG; assessment of the seriousness of the disarmament efforts of the superpowers; attitude to NATO and use of nuclear weapons in the China conflict; judgement on the USA in comparison to the Soviet Union regarding economic development, scientific progress, existing class differences and educational opportunities; stereotype concepts of Americans (list of characteristics); judgement on the influence of American culture on the FRG; assessment of the partnership between the USA and the FRG; attitude to stationing American troops in the FRG; contact with American soldiers; attitude to the conduct of Americans regarding Negros; sources of information about America; party preference. Demography: age (classified); sex; school education; vocational training; occupation; state.
