Sampled Universe
The population comprises all candidates of political parties which were in represented in German Bundestag before 2013 Federal Election: SPD, CDU, CSU, Bündnis90/Die Grünen, FDP and Die Linke. These group was enlarged by candidates of the two biggest non-represented parties prior to the election, Piratenpartei and AfD. This restriction was based on considerations concerning surveying only information about candidates of parties which were relevant in the political process.
