    The course of the day as well as the situation in household and family of non-employed housewives in the Federal Republic. Satisfaction with occupation as housewife and relationship with spouse. Topics: Course of the day of respondent and husband; activities in household and time used by these activities; help of husband and children in housework; time used by children and persons in need of care; positively and negatively valued activities in household; technical features of household; training in housekeeping and child care; attitude to childminders; education and development status of the children; child care during absence or illness; style of child-raising; financial conditions and decision structure within the family; assessment of the marriage and general judgement on the roles of man and woman; reasons for disputes with spouse; general contentment with life; conversations with spouse; assumed regard of husband for housewives occupation; assumed abilities of husband in housekeeping and raising children; assessment of personal ability to exercise an occupation with status equivalent to that of husband; conduct in case of divorce or death of spouse; interest in taking up personal employment and perceived possibilities for placing the children; vocational training and reasons for giving up employment; attitude to half-day work by husband and wife (job-sharing); satisfaction with housewives occupation and attitude to housework; recommendations on improvement in the situation of housewives; social security and completed insurance policies; illnesses or other complaints; hospital stays and contact with doctors; regular athletic activities; the role of television in family life; reading daily newspaper and picture magazines; participation in further education events; carrying out trips to government offices; assistance in the professional work of husband; income from side jobs; marriage duration; desired number of children; satisfaction with residential area; housing conditions and evaluation of housing situation; personal election participation in the last Federal Parliament election and behavior at the polls; organization of leisure time and preferred leisure activities; size of household; number of children.
