    Attitude to child-raising questions, education as well as marriage and family. Judgement on the occupational situation and relationship between generations. Topics: 1. Principle questions on marriage and family: meaning of family; ideal marriage; desire for children; assessment of the development-policy significance of the decline in births and attitude to childless marriage; preparation for marriage and basic family conditions of a marriage; attitude to divorce. 2. Family life and familial interaction: reasons for disputes in one´s family; person to confide in with problems; readiness of spouse to communicate and to listen; occupation with the children; research of one´s own family history; magazines and public advice centers as possible advisers for help in life. 3. Dominance or partnership: agreement between spouses and reasons for possible differences of opinion; role distribution and dominant person in marriage; willingness of the man to help in household; adaptation to spouse; role distribution in child-raising. 4. Child-raising questions: child-raising style and problems in child-raising; possible help with child-raising problems; type of public advice centers used; judgement on and attitude to advice centers; attitude to poor school grades and supervision of homework; desired occupation for son or daughter; attitude to sex education; desired development opportunities for the children; judgement on the generation conflict. 5. Achievement orientation and education: attitude to education and assumed reasons for insufficient education; judgement on the school as preparation for occupation; desire for the children to go to college; general moral orientation. 6. Leisure time: leisure wishes; reduction in leisure time through household and family; actual and desired structuring of Sunday; structuring of vacation and obstacles for a vacation; readiness to go out and habits regarding going out; structuring evenings and significance of television. 7. Relatives, friendship and neighborhood: contacts with friends and acquaintances, willingness of neighbors to help; place of residence of parents or parents-in-law. 8. Occupation and occupation stress: effects of occupation on family life; desire to give up employment; attitude to occupation as housewife (scale); work satisfaction. 9. Miscellaneous: attitude to the reformed abortion law; tie to a party; contribution payments; housing situation and property conditions; size of residence; desired change of residence. Demography: self-assessment of social class; political interest and sources of political information; party preference; religiousness; membership in clubs, associations and parties; age; sex; marital status; number of children; ages of children (classified); religious denomination; school education; occupation; household income; size of household; economic area; party identification; state; possession of durable economic goods. Also encoded were: form of housing, type of city, residence in new construction area, city size and sex of interviewer.
