    Judgement on parties and politicians in the Saarland as well as at federal level. Attitude to current political questions. Topics: judgement on the economic situation in the Saarland and in the FRG; most important tasks in the Saarland and preferred politician; importance of political issues and issue ability of the parties; degree of familiarity of Saarland politicians and their functions; judgement on their political job; party preference in the state parliament election, the Federal Parliament election and the municipal elections (ballot procedure); assumed reasons for the loss of votes by the CDU and the gain in votes by the SPD and FDP in the municipal election; assumed election result of the state election 1980; satisfaction with the government and the opposition (scale); judgement on the achievement of the coalition government and the most important measures of the state government in economic policy, education policies, social policy and in environmental protection; expected influence of the FDP on the politics of the state government; image of the CDU, the SPD and the FDP (semantic differentials); sympathy scale for the state chairmen of the parties and judgement on their ability as well as their issue competence; preferred top politicians for a coalition government; currently most active party; attitude to the current state government and to a continuation of the coalition after the state parliament elections; assumed election result and assumed performance of the FDP; behavior at the polls given refusal of the FDP to continue the coalition with the CDU; attitude to Strauss as candidate for chancellor; influence of the candidacy for chancellor of Strauss on future behavior at the polls; preferred sources of political information; assessment of the most effective advertisers for election campaign measures.
