    Political attitudes as well as judgement on parties and politicians. Topics: political interest; issue relevance and issue ability of parties and politicians; assessment of current and future general economic situation in the Federal Republic; party preference (ballot procedure); most important politicians of CDU/CSU, SPD and FDP; self-classification as well as classification of parties and politicians on a left-right continuum; sympathy scale and capability scale for selected politicians and parties; party inclination; trust in selected government institutions (rank order procedure) and perceived changes; attitude to the ban on employment of radicals as teachers and civil servants and judgement on selected recommendations on screening applicants for civil service; attitude to nuclear power plants and construction of a nuclear power plant in the immediate vicinity of place of residence; willingness to participate in events against or for construction of a nuclear power plant; preferred forms of protest for or against construction of a nuclear power plant; preference for chancellor; attitude to Helmut Kohl as candidate for chancellor or preferred candidate; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; personal impact of unemployment or unemployment in one´s family; assessment of job security; job security in the state in comparison with the rest of the Federal Republic; judgement on future employment prospects for young people in the state. The following questions were also posed in Schleswig-Holstein: most important state politicians of CDU, SPD and FDP; behavior at the polls in the last state parliament election; judgement on current and future economic situation in Schleswig-Holstein; party preference at state level (ballot procedure); issue relevance and issue ability of parties and politicians; personal impact of the snow storms last winter and judgement on the job of the authorities in connection with this catastrophe; attitude to the comprehensive school; knowledge about the Green Lists; attitude to the Green Lists; knowledge of internal conflicts within the Green Lists; judgement on the reasons for this conflict; readiness to vote for the Green Lists; preference for prime minister; behavior at the polls in the last state parliament election. Demography: age; sex; marital status; number of children; ages of children (classified); religious denomination; frequency of church attendance; school education; occupational position; employment; income; household income; size of household; composition of household; respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household; party inclination; party identification; self-assessment of social class; city size; state; union membership; party inclination; party identification; number of persons in household with their own income. Interviewer rating: length of interview and day of interview.
