  • Abstract

    Determination of school grades from the classes 9 and 10 of high school as well as from leaving certificates (high school graduation grades); change of school and school degree; repeating a school year; planned college subjects; college goals and occupation desired at high school graduation. Demography: class attended by schoolchild in school year 1968/69; school year of successful completion of first public examination in secondary school; school year of successful completion of high school; information on those changing schools; prestige score school-leavers occupation; prestige score high school graduates.

Sampled Universe
High school students of the school year 1969/70 in the 10th grade from 121 various classes at 68 high schools. The sample is identical to ZA Study No. 0600.

Note
Based on the survey of high school students archived under ZA Study No. 0600, in this study information was collected from school records of the high school students interviewed earlier. In those cases where a survey from school records was refused or was not possible and in those cases where the student had left school prematurely or had changed schools, a written survey was conducted with the school further attended or with the student himself.
