The current data set contains the entire information of a two-wave trend survey. The first survey (ZA Study No. 1486; 1843 respondents) took place around new year 1985/86; the second survey (1939 respondents) was conducted from April to May 1989. Except for a few questions in both surveys a questionnaire with the same content was used. The sequence of the questions, the interviewer directions and emphasis in the text are for technical reasons in part different in the two questionnaires. Since both data sets have the same variable structure, the integrated data set can be separated on the two survey times by a split variable.
