In the complete project with a sample of initially 384 married couples three surveys were conducted 1 to 2 years apart. The spouses were interviewed by two interviewers simultaneously but independent of each other. The data set contains the data of the 446 respondents (223 couples) who took part in all three surveys. Part of the complete project are the ZA Study Nos. 1559 to 1561 for individual surveys as well as ZA Study No. 1562 for the panel data set. Different questionnaires were used for men and women dealing with identical content but taking into consideration the sex of the respondent in the question formulation.
