    Perceived effects of the reactor accident in Chernobyl. Topics: effects of environmental pollution on health; attitude to use of nuclear energy for power generation; perceived causes of the Chernobyl reactor catastrophy; assessment of the safety of nuclear power plants in Germany in comparison to the Soviet Union; assumed long-term consequences and estimated number of cases of death in the Federal Republic as well as in the Soviet Union due to the Chernobyl accident; change of one´s own nutrition habits as well as further preventive measures due to the Chernobyl reactor catastrophy; personal health impairments from additional radioactive radiation; effects of the Chernobyl catastrophy on nutrition, play behavior and health of one´s own small children; assessment of credibility of various institutions providing information and recommendations after the Chernobyl catastropy; judgement on balance and objectivity of television reporting about Chernobyl; possession of a telephone; membership in a trade union or a professional organization.
