    Perceived effects of the reactor accident in Chernobyl. Topics: effects of environmental pollution on health; attitude to use of nuclear energy for power generation; memory of the reactor accident in Chernobyl; assessment of the safety of nuclear power plants in Germany in comparison to the Soviet Union; assumed long-term consequences and estimated number of deaths in the Federal Republic due to the Chernobyl accident; assessment of the credibility of various institutions which issued information and recommendations after the Chernobyl accident; change of one´s own nutrition habits due to the Chernobyl reactor catastrophy as well as duration of the nutrition change; impairment of personal health from the additional radioactive radiation; effects of the Chernobyl catastrophy on the nutrition and health of one´s own small children; increased scepticism regarding use of nuclear energy since the Chernobyl reactor catastrophy as well as due to irregularities in transport and storage of nuclear waste by the companies Nukem and Transnuklear; possession of a telephone; membership in trade union or professional organization.
