Topics: Most important environmental problems; associations with the term technology; self-assessment of technology knowledge; attitude to modern technology (scale); attitude to a coal-fired power plant as well as to a nuclear power plant in the vicinity of one´s place of residence; general attitude to technology (scale); attitude to technical occupations; computers at work or at home; attitude to working with the computer; residential status; possession of a telephone, membership in a trade union or professional organization; living in a group sharing a residence; party preference; employment in the civil service.

The current data set is part of an omnibus survey. The study presents a follow-up survey to the investigation ´ Attitude to Technology ´ conducted in 1980 and archived under ZA Study No. 1274. The questions posed in the investigation described here represent a subset of the first survey. Further studies in this series are archived under ZA Study Nos. 1602 and 1367.
