    Use of intoxicants by young people and attitude to drugs. Topics: contentment with life; type and frequency of leisure activities conducted; judgement on personal condition of health; greatest health threat; profile of characteristics of a person of same age living a healthy life-style; attitude to one´s own body and health (scale); satisfaction with personal leisure situation; person to confide in; feeling of open-mindedness and friendships (scale); frequency of consumption of selected drinks; type and extent of use of alcohol in the last few working days and last few weekends; use of alcohol alone or with others as well as place of use of alcohol; judgement on various effects of use of alcohol (scale); frequency of alcohol intoxication; time of last alcohol intoxication; age at first smoking or at start of smoking regularly; number of cigarettes smoked daily; self-assessment as heavy smoker, occasional smoker or non-smoker; times of not smoking; difficulties in breaking the habit; difficulty of not smoking in selected situations; reasons for not smoking; possible reasons for smoking from the view of a non-smoker as well as from the view of a smoker; reasons for not smoking from the view of a smoker; preferred tobacco products and brand of cigarettes; attitude to jeopardy to health from smoking; attitude of friends to quitting or to starting smoking; expected smoking behavior in five years; knowledge of selected drugs; attitude to trial of selected drugs; use of intoxicants in one´s circle of friends; number of friends who regularly use drugs or are drunk; attitude to legalization or to prohibition of intoxicants; personal use of intoxicants and time since last use; time of last use of intoxicants; probability of future use of intoxicants; frequency and type of intoxicant tried; location of first use of intoxicants and persons present; reasons for first use of intoxicants; current use of intoxicants; reasons for ending use of intoxicants; assumed reasons for use of intoxicants from the view of a non-user. The data set contains the data of a follow-up survey. The first survey took place in 1986, had 1809 respondents and is archived under ZA Study No. 1603. In both investigations to the extent possible the same questions were posed. A cumulated data set is archived under ZA Study No. 1968. The ZA Study Nos. 1070, 1071, 1072 and 1257 also contain investigations on the use of drugs by young people.
