    Attitude to questions of domestic policy. Topics: satisfaction with the development of democracy in the GDR; party preference (Sunday question); behavior at the polls in the last election; evaluation of different social systems regarding economic growth, achievement-oriented society, market economy, environmental questions, citizen involvement, individual provision for old age and securing the future through technical progress; issue relevance; attitude to the right of foreigners to vote in municipal elections and to the right to asylum; contacts with foreigners at work; national pride; desired flag and desired National Anthem for a united Germany; satisfaction with social conditions in the GDR; West Germans as Germans; security on the streets and plazas; perceived increase in crime; self-assessment on a left-right continuum; attitude to unification of the two German nations and judgement on unification progress; advantages and disadvantages for the citizens of the GDR through unification; preferred capital city; estimated time for the achievement of an equivalent standard of living in east and west; visits to the west since the fall of the wall; interest in trips and vacation in the Federal Republic; interest in a partner city in the Federal Republic; perceived danger to democracy from former SED functionaries in important functions; judgement on the name change of the SED to PDS and approval of taking seats in parliament by the PDS; attitude to the Oder-Neisse Line; relation with relatives on the other side of the Oder-Neisse Line; most important political tasks in the GDR.
