    Attitude to questions of international policy, judgement on selected countries as well as judgement on their policies and politicians. The image of the USA of Germans, English and French. Topics: Judgement on the results of the London Nine Power Conference; attitude to participation by the Federal Republic in the defense of Western Europe; attitude to the unification of Europe and to the solution of the Saar question; attitude to a greater German sovereignity; attitude to a West-East Conference proposed by the Soviet Union; judgement on soviet willingness to negotiate and on their disarmament proposals; assessment of the danger of war; attitude to a neutral Germany; preferred East or West orientation of the Federal Republic; expected winner of the East-West confrontation; judgement on the peace efforts of the two great powers; the one responsible for the strained relations between the USA and the USSR; judgement on Adenauer, Mendes-France, Eden, Molotov, Dulles as well as attitude to England, France, Italy, Russia, America; attitude to the admission of China into the UN; views about the influence of the USA on one´s own country; attitude as well as perceived efforts of the great powers for peaceful use of atomic energy; attitude to the use of nuclear weapons; preferred reaction of the USA in case of an attack by Red China on Formosa; judgement on the American defense efforts in Western Europe and on the American commitment in the Far East to stem communism; expected reduction of the European defense efforts in case of an increased involvement of the Americans in the Far East; party preference; trade union membership; size of city. Interviewer rating: social class of respondent. In the Federal Republic the following questions were also asked: judgement on the chances for reunification after the London Conference; satisfaction with the federal chancellor; preference for reunification or European unification; the one responsible for the division of Germany.
