    Living habits of the German population after the stress in the Second World War. Conduct in occupation and neighborhood as well as church life. Attitude to family. Political conduct. Topics: Attitude to the political system; political interest; extent to which informed politically (index); attitude to the European defense community and to the Adenauer government; voting decision in the Federal Parliament election 1949; general party preference or voting intent; attendance at party and election meetings; party membership; original occupation wish and perhaps reasons hindering; occupation of father; index of occupational mobility of generations; satisfaction with occupation and job satisfaction; interest in employment; family size; salience of family; social activities within the family; agreement and topics of conversation between the spouses; extent and regional scope of the circle of friends; preferred conversation partner; actual relations with neighbors; desired neighborhood; type and strength of ties to the municipality; regional mobility; church ties and activities; membership in clubs and club activities; actual and desired leisure activities; type of tenancy; media usage according to frequency and preferred programs. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; number of children; religious denomination; religiousness; school education; vocational training; occupation; employment; size of household; composition of household; housing situation; interest in politics; party preference; political discussion; social origins; state; regional origins; refugee status; military service. Interviewer rating: willingness of respondent to cooperate; presence of other persons; residential conditions of respondent; time of interview.
