    Attitude to current topics of domestic policy. Topics: Satisfaction with democracy; party preference; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; trust in public institutions (scale); importance of federal institutions (scale); preferred development of society (scale); most important goals of domestic policy; too many foreigners in the Federal Republic; attitude to making it easier for foreigners to acquire German citizenship; attitude to introduction of dual citizenship; parent status or country of birth as preferred criterion for citizenship; satisfaction with social conditions in the Federal Republic (career chances, equal rights, legal system, protection against crime, economic situation, job market and social security); perceived threat to public safety; desire for stricter laws or expanded powers for the police; desire for particular police authority to combat organized crime; attitude to bugging of private rooms by the police; attitude to elimination of checks of persons at borders within Europe; expected increase in difficulty of combating crime from elimination of border checks; attitude to possession of smaller amounts of soft drugs; attitude to frequency of cases of bribery in Germany; frequency of bribery in Germany in comparison to other European countries; perceived personal threat from selected forms of crime; political participation and readiness for protest behavior; preference for national or Europe-wide solution of selected political problems; assessment of the advantageousness of EU-membership of the country; estimated time until achievement of equivalent living conditions in Eastern and Western Germany; attitude to conclusion of working on the GDR past; credibility of the political re-orientation of the SED into the PDS; attitude to the 5%-clause for Federal Parliament elections; attitude to the PDS taking seats in Federal Parliament through the direct mandate regulation; self-classification on a left-right continuum; attitude to government defense against radicals from right and left; assessment of jeopardy to democracy from left-wing extremist as well as from right-wing extremist groups and foreign extremist organizations (scale); positive or negative contacts with authorities; laws or government employees as cause for individual problems with authorities; general assessment of the understandability of laws; attitude to summer time; personal problems with the summer time arrangement; judgement on the extent of portraying violence on television; year of birth and month of birth; jeopardy to job of respondent; union membership; religiousness.
