AbstractThis data collection contains individual-level biographical information for British members of Parliament and social and economic data pertaining to British investment and economic expansion in the period 1575-1630. The data provide information on name, social class, and date of knighthood for each member of British Parliament for the period. Also included are dates of the thirteen sessions of Parliament, and the names of the trading companies and company directors or governors.
MethodsICPSR data undergo a confidentiality review and are altered when necessary to limit the risk of disclosure. ICPSR also routinely creates ready-to-go data files along with setups in the major statistical software formats as well as standard codebooks to accompany the data.
