    Attitude to questions of domestic policy. Topics: survey year; survey area; national pride; satisfaction with democracy; party preference (Sunday question and rank order procedure); behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; sympathy scale for selected parties, the government and the opposition; trust in the institutions: Federal Parliament, church, police, Federal Constitutional Court, Federal Government, Federal German Armed Forces, press, television, trade unions, state government, Bundesrat {Federal Upper House} and parties; political participation (scale); issue relevance and issue ability of the parties; development of selected issues since the last Federal Parliament election; concept about an ideal society, measured on the criteria economic growth, role of the police, achievement-based standard of living, form of economy, income distribution, environmental protection, citizen participation, welfare state and technical progress; rank order of political goals; satisfaction with the economic situation; satisfaction with social security, education chances, the prospects of advancement, equal rights, the legal system, protection against crime, work chances, security of peace, integration into the western alliance, the relation with Eastern Europe and the realization of democracy. Demography: sex; age in classes; school degree; extent of employment; occupational group; occupation status; union membership; religious denomination; religiousness; self-assessment on a left-right continuum; party inclination and party identification.
