Topics: most important political topics; expected economic situation and expected development of personal living conditions; greatest problems in Germany; preference for federal chancellor; most able party in the Federal Republic; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election and state parliament election; party preference on state and federal level (Sunday question). Demography: sex; year of birth; employment; professional position; vocational training; school education; size of household; members of household under 14 years and their year of birth; religious affiliation; frequency of church attendance; union membership; party membership; monthly net income. Also encoded was: state; city size; date of interview; weekday of interview.
