Topics: judgement on the current and future economic situation in Germany; interest in politics; most important problems in Germany; most important characteristics of a federal chancellor; preference for chancellor: Helmut Kohl or Gerhard Schroeder; attitude to the politicians Helmut Kohl, Gerhard Schroeder, Wolfgang Schaeuble and Oskar Lafontaine; characteristics of Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schroeder; profile of demands of an ideal chancellor regarding issue-competence, management abilities, personal character traits, integrity as well as contrast with the perceived characteristics of the candidates for chancellor Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schroeder (raiting scale); frequency of reading the newspaper "Bild" and other national daily newspapers; observing political events; frequency of reading the news magazines SPIEGEL, Focus and DIE ZEIT; frequency of watching and intensity of selected news broadcasts on television (public and private); credibility of television in comparison with newspapers with differing reporting about the candidates for chancellor; knowledge about the Federal President, the party with the majority in the Bundesrat and the parties of the opposition in the Federal Parliament; party preference (Sunday question); party inclination.
