    Judgement on the partnership from the point of view of both partners. Topics: 1st Wave: survey of first partner: psychological self-characterization on the dimensions feeling of self-worth, security, temperament, optimism, self-confidence, striving for perfection, self-confidence, egocentrism, social conduct, humor and striving for perfection (scale); characterization of partner relation by means of the bond scales of Asendorpf, Banse, Wilpers and Neyer with the dimensions security and dependence. Network: characterization of social relations regarding sex, age, frequency of contact, significance, conflict, vicinity and feeling of security in presence of the person. 2nd Wave: survey of partner from the first survey: judgement on the partner relation by means of the bond scales, also answered by the partner; length of the partnership; obligingness of partner; general satisfaction with relation; comparison of personal relation with others; dissatisfaction with the relation entered into; original expectations fulfilled by the relation; love for partner; partnership problems. Demography: sex; age in years.

The study "personality and social relations" consists of two waves. In the first wave 2002 persons from the family survey 1994 (ZA Study No. 2860) were written to and asked to respond to questionnaires on network, personality and on judgement of their partnership. The response was 661 questionnaires. In a second wave 385 persons who had stated that they had been living in a stable partnership for a year were written to and asked to have their partner respond to the partner questionnaire. There were 214 responses.
