Sampled Universe
The survey focused on candidates of german established parties (SPD, CDU, CSU, Bündnis90/Die Grünen, FDP, Die Linke) and new ones (Piratenpartei, AfD). This selection is due to financial restraints and, moreover, to the aim to gather more information about candidates of parties being relevant to the political process. Therefore, the universe consists of 564 candidates.
