The Ifo Business Survey for the Insurance Sector has been conducted by the Ifo Institute on a quarterly basis since 1999. The core of the questionnaire consists of qualitative assessments on the current economic parameters of companies such as, for example, the general situation, the competitive situation or revenues from contributions, as well as questions on trends in the forthcoming months in areas like future trends in revenues from contributions or in the general business situation. The majority of the questions concern the various insurance segments (like motor third party liability, personal accident and third party liability insurance).
