    This survey was conducted to improve the quality of survey instruments and analysis. The aim was to focus on the growing number of research questions related to the ifo World Economic Survey (WES) that have arisen over the last 30 years. In addition to the sources of information that experts use to form their assessments, ifo wanted to gain insights into the decision-making process that experts adopt to classify their responses in the respective qualitative categories. Also, to form a clearer picture of the WES participants, question on their professional and academic background, as well as their gender and age were asked.
