Sampling Procedure Comment: Representative nation-wide clustered sample (100 clusters: cities and towns in the country). The sample was implemented using Leslie-Kish methodology.

The survey was financed by the Ministry of Defence in the framework of the project for the development of the "White Paper on Defence and Security". Comparable studies on Bulgarian Security Policy in 1999 and 2001 are archived under the ZA Study Numbers ZA3060 and ZA3062. The data set is archived at the Bulgarian Data Archive (SSDA) under the Study number BDA-3.
