Topics: Responsibility for the economic situation; success of the present authorities regarding the defence of the country, rebuilding the country, solving the Kosovo problem, relations to Montenegro, economy, preventing inflation and protecting standard of living, organisation of public activities, solving the problems of refugees, relations to ethnic minorities, fighting against crime and corruption; development of international cooperation; reasons for not engaging in politics; heart about and attitudes towards politicians; most trusted politician; voting in 1997 Parliament elections; preferred Yugoslav president; voting in the Presidential elections; certainty of election decision; potential winner of the election; voting in the Federal parliament elections and certainty of election decision; potential winner in the Federal Parliament Elections; honest elections; time, when the opposition will win the election; influence on voting decision; preferred way to introduce the programme of a party; evaluation of pre-electoral campaigns of the parties; most capable party; characteristics of an ideal politician and of S. Milosevic, V. Kostunica, T. Nikolic, V. Mihailovic, D. Avramovic, and M. Dinkic; criticism regarding S. Milosevic and other politicians. Sampling
A three-stage stratified representative sample was drawn in accordance with the principles of probability model of sampling. The first stage of stratification included demographic regions, the second one municipality, proportionally in urban and other type of settlements, and the third one local community. At the next (fourth) stage, a quota selection was applied inside local communities. A system of mutually independent four quotas (age, gender, level of education, and nationality of respondent if it was relevant in the sampling place), specific for each place, was used. A subsample of Serbs and other non-Albanian inhabitants from Kosovo internally displaced to Serbia was included, too.
