    Knowledge and use of emergency numbers. Topics: use of national emergency numbers or of the international emergency number 112; knowledge of the European Union-wide emergency number 112; perceived information on the emergency number 112 or on national emergency numbers in the last twelve months; source of the information; approval of the following statements: useful to have European Union-wide emergency number, people in the own country are adequately informed about the existence of the emergency number 112, own country should do more to facilitate contact to emergency services via 112 for disabled users; kind of called emergency numbers in the last five years; kind of called emergency number on last occasion; kind of telephone used; technical difficulty with the call; language problems; exact information about location; follow-up to call. Demography: sex; age; occupation; professional position; type of community; household composition and household size; own a mobile phone and fixed (landline) phone; personal impairments. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; country; interviewer ID; language of the interview; date of interview; time of the beginning of the interview; duration of the interview; type of phone line; region; weighting factor.
