    Peace consciousness, political-ideological work, aspects of the development of democracy, possibilities of the individual to influence preservation of peace. Topics: Previous participation in scientific surveys; interest in political events in the GDR; importance of occupation of the scientist with questions of preservation of peace; expression of one's own opinion; optimistic/pessimistic basic position; feeling of threat from illness, environment, world war, falling standard of living, loss of job, conflicts between industrial and developing countries; danger of a world war; hypothetical cause for prevention of a world war; threat to peace from the existence of different social systems, extension of territorial conflicts, human failure, imperialism; the essence of war; the use of nuclear weapons; measures to preserve peace; elimination of nuclear weapons; relation of socialism and peace; cooperation with capitalist countries and their governments as well as with the peace movement, middle-class, socialist, communist parties, trade unions and Christian circles; cooperation with artists/scientists, citizen initiatives, representatives of the army, of the arms economy and other economic areas; peaceful co-existence; influence of the GDR on securing of peace; importance of increasing the capability of the economy, defense preparedness, improvement in material level of standard of living, development of socialist democracy, cooperation with the Soviet Union; contribution of the individual to securing of peace; importance of knowledge regarding politics, civil defense / battle group, raising of children, participation in peace demonstrations, innovator movement, special shifts, high achievements in daily work, service in the armed organs, participation in a party, social work, participation in paramilitary, attending peace events, participation in youth brigades; confidence about preservation of peace; information needs about political questions; interest in political events and degree of extent to which informed; sources of information; discussion of political questions in family circle, work collective, circle of friends as well as in FDJ group; honorary functions; reasons for political activity; importance of goals in life such as love and family happiness, occupation, advancement, further education, a life full of variety, work, securing of peace, health, discipline, reliability, risk readiness; importance of occupation characteristics; knowledge about personal plan goals, those of the company, the status of plan fulfillment; working conditions and their influence on work achievement; assessment of work achievement; responsibility for one's own work achievement, for that of the collective and of the company; military service, shift work; membership in parties and mass organizations; size of place of residence.
