Energy & Environment Survey 2014 - Compensatory Control

    This project uses data from the 2014 version of the Energy and Environment Survey (EE), a long-term collaboration between the Center for Risk & Crisis Management and Center for Energy, Security, & Society at the University of Oklahoma and Sandia National Laboratories to track the attitudes and beliefs of American citizens about nuclear energy and nuclear waste storage. In this project, we develop a novel measure of compensatory control to better understand how Compensatory Control Theory (CCT) impacts perceptions of government involvement in the storage of spent nuclear fuel. The data set provided here consists of only the variables used in our Compensatory Control Theory study; please contact the CES&S at the University of Oklahoma for the full EE 2014 data set.
