Sampled Universe
The population comprises all persons with German citizenship resident
in the Federal Republic of Germany, who had a minimum age of 16 years
and lived in private households at the time the survey was being
conducted.
Sampling
Probability: Stratified: Disproportional; Sampling Procedure Comment: Disproportional stratified multistage random sampling based on the
ADM-design. All in all, 210 sampling points were drawn in West Germany
with the aim to realize 1,400 interviews. 96 sampling points were
drawn in East Germany to realize 700 interviews. That means that the
East German population is overrepresented in the sample. The target
person in the household was determined by Sweden key.
