The population comprises all persons with German citizenship resident in the Federal Republic of Germany, who had a minimum age of 16 years, lived in private households at the time of Federal Election (22. September 2013) and were eligible to vote, or - if person has not been 18 years old then - would have been eligible to vote.

Note
Two respondents (lfdn = 316, 890) have stated that they voted for the party AfD with their first and second vote in the federal state election in Bavaria (Variable q82aa-bb). However, the party did not compete in this election. The variable q159a/b concerning the party identification includes code 809 ´all parties are equally good´. In contrast to the pre-election cross-section, this code was allowed in the post-election cross-section.
