Description
  • Abstract

This study aimed to investigate feeding decisions that Latina immigrant mothers made for their children. This study particularly focused on mothers living in non-metropolitan and small metro areas, where food choices may be more constrained than in large metropolitan areas. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 29 Latina mothers from different Latin American countries whose preschoolers were enrolled in a Women, Infant, and Children supplemental nutrition program. All interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim in Spanish, and analyzed by a bilingual team.
Sampling
The final sample included 29 mothers.
