Non-probability: Purposive; Sampling Procedure Comment: Sampling method TV: Main news broadcasts of ARD, ZDF, RTL and Sat.1. Sampling method print media: Multiple-stage sampling of daily newspapers. Frankfurter Rundschau (FR), Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Die Welt (Welt), die Tageszeitung (TAZ) and BILD as a tabloid newspaper were chosen. Articles were coded if they were on the front page/opinion part and in regard to german federal politics.
