  • Abstract

In the present study, Richard H. Tilly compiles data on the development of the entire financial system of Germany. The aim of this investigation is to underline the uniformity of money economy aspects and trade aspects in the context of economic growth. The presented taxonomy of the currency is an attempt to make the beginning of a systematic description of the monetary sector, so that this sector can be placed more systematically in relation to real economic developments or events. The following datatables (timeseries) are in the online-downloadsystem HISTAT (www.histat.gesis.org): A.
