Probability: Multistage; Sampling Procedure Comment: Combined fixed line and mobile phone sample (dual-frame approach) Fixed line: Disproportionately designed random sample with oversampling of East German respondents In West Germany 1,051 citizens were interviewed and in East Germany 982 citizens were interviewed; after compensating for the over-quotation in East Germany, the summary of these 2,033 respondents results in 1,289 interviews: 1,051 from West Germany and 238 from East Germany.
