    Judgment on parties and politicians. Current political questions. Topics: most important problems of the state; intent to participate in the coming state parliament election; party preference (rank order and list procedure); party inclination and party identification; election participation at the last state parliament election; sympathy scale for the parties at federal and state level as well as for the top politicians in the state; satisfaction with the state government, the opposition and the Federal Government in Bonn; attitude to an absolute SPD majority in the state parliament election; preferred coalitions; preference for prime minister; judgment on the economic situation in the state and in comparison with the entire Federal Republic; expected changes in the economic situation in the state; problem-solving ability of an SPD or CDU state government in questions of the economy, environmental protection, the job market and the housing market as well as personal satisfaction with the current situation in these areas; job security; attitude to unification of the two German nations; expected advantages or disadvantages of this unification for the state; evaluation of the 1:1 exchange rate of East Mark to DM; city size; assumed taking seats in parliament by the FDP as well as the Greens and judgment on this; most active party supporters in the election campaign; significance of the state government for the future of the state; assumed election winner and probability of an absolute majority for the SPD; college degree; journeymen´s test; union membership; religiousness.
