    Evaluation of parties and politicians before the citizenship election. Attitudes towards political questions. Themes: Most important problems in the federal state of Bremen; intention to participate in the citizens´ election; type of election (polling station or postal vote); distribution of the five possible votes to the same party or different parties; voting decision; security of one´s own voting decision; importance of federal politics for one´s own voting decision; Interest in the citizen election in the state of Bremen; voting behaviour in the last citizen election; coalition preference; attitude towards a senate consisting of SPD and Greens, SPD, Greens and FDP, SPD and CDU led by the SPD, CDU and SPD led by the CDU, and CDU, Greens and FDP; sympathy scale for the following parties at federal and state level: SPD, CDU, Greens, Left Party, FDP, AfD and BIW; satisfaction scale for the achievements of the Senate from SPD and Greens in the federal state of Bremen, the SPD in the Senate, the Greens in the Senate, the CDU opposition in the citizenry and for the achievements of the federal government from CDU/CSU and SPD; knowledge of the top candidates of SPD and CDU for the office of mayor in the federal state of Bremen; sympathy scalometer for selected state politicians; party sympathy; political interest; preference for Carsten Sieling or Carsten Meyer-Heder as mayor in the federal state of Bremen; Split A: Comparison of the credibility, sympathy, expertise and closeness to the citizens of the two top candidates (end of Split A); assessment of the current economic situation in the federal state of Bremen and the personal economic situation; expected development of the own economic situation; economic expectations for the economy in the federal state of Bremen; comparison of the economic situation of the federal state of Bremen with the other western German federal states; Split B: most competent party to solve the economic problems in the federal state of Bremen, in the creation of jobs, in school and education policy, in transport policy and to solve the problems on the housing market (end of Split B); most competent party to solve the social problems in the federal state of Bremen; assessment of Bremen´s future viability; most competent party to solve the future problems in the federal state; assessment of the work of Carsten Sieling as mayor; preference for an SPD-led senate or a CDU-led senate (Split A); SPD should not be represented in the senate after the elections vs. continue to be represented (Split B); election of the AfD because of political content or to teach other parties a lesson. Demography: sex; age (classified); education: school leaving certificate or desired school leaving certificate; completed university studies; completed apprenticeship; employment status; own job security; occupational status and characteristics of current or previous employment; household size; number of persons in household aged 16 or older; union member in household; denomination; party affiliation; party identification. Additionally coded: Questionnaire number; voting intention recoded, eligibility to vote in the Bremen or Bremerhaven citizenship election; weighting factors.
