    Political attitude and character traits of members of the Federal German Armed Forces. Topics: Political interest and knowledge of political and historical events; knowledge of governmental, national and international institutions; knowledge in the military area; attitude to military parades, restricted obligation to salute and badges for deserving soldiers; self-image as soldier and citizen; attitude to democracy and resistance against the Hitler regime; evaluation of pulp war magazines; length of belonging to the Federal German Armed Forces; service rank; earlier occupation; social and regional origins; personal election participation and behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election 1957 as well as in the last state parliament election. Scales: dogmatism and authoritarianism. Demography: age (classified); marital status; school education; party membership; media usage.
