    Facts and psychological factors that determine dealing with money as well as interest sensitivity of individuals. Topics: Trust in monetary value; consumer habits; purchase decisions; purchase plans; cost of living and savings opportunities; thriftiness; maintaining cash and liquidity reserves; possession of bank account; savings goals; determination of investment terms for savings and checking accounts intended by the individuals; extent to which informed about as well as attitudes to possession of stocks and shares, saving with a building and loan association, saving with government premiums in addition to interest, life insurance and savings account; possession of jewelry as assets investment; expected income development; residential furnishings and possession of a vehicle; price consciousness in purchase of gasoline; index of interest sensivity; scale on psychological characterization of respondent; part of the scale items was presented to the respondent in a parallel version. Demography: age; marital status; school education; vocational training; occupation; professional position; income; size of household; composition of household; regional origins; possession of durable economic goods; possession of assets.

In the 1st of the panel survey 505 persons were interviewed in writing; in a 2nd wave a sample of 186 persons was subsequently interviewed orally. In the written survey a two-fold split questionnaire was used. For technical data processing reasons the data set has been divided into several archive numbers and comprises ZA Study Nos. 0140 and 0141.
