    Furnishing of household with equipment of entertainment electronics. Leisure and consumer habits. Topics: detailed recording of possession, number, location, brand designation, main user and point in time of acquisition of television sets, radio cassette equipment for the car, record players, cassette tape recorders as well as reel-to-reel tape recorders; possession of video recorder; videosystem; type and extent of video recorder used to record television broadcasts; reasons for or against purchase of a video recorder; sources of information before purchase. The following additional questions were posed for television sets, radio cassette equipment for the car, record players, cassette tape recorders, reel-to-reel tape recorders, radios, radio stereo equipment and watches purchased in the last six months before the survey: brand and type designation of equipment; predominant location; exact purchase price; type of business; month of purchase; purchase or gift; purchased used; main user; year of acquisition; usability and use of previous equipment. Miscellaneous: inclination toward writing cards and letters (scale); memory of the Post Office advertising about writing letters; memory of special advertising slogans as well as the advertising medium in which the advertisement was seen; smoking habits; having a yard and possession of yard equipment; possession of pet; possession of second home or vacation home in the Federal Republic; possession of a telephone in second home; possession or interest in further telephone extensions in main residence; vacation frequency; means of transport used; form of organization of vacation travel. The following additional questions were posed to women: self-classification as well as classification of spouse or friend in a fashion typology; purchase price of the last winter coat purchased for oneself or one´s partner. The following questions were posed to men: self-classification in a fashion typology as well as purchase price of the last coat purchased. Demography: sex; year of birth; marital status; ages of children (classified); religious denomination; school education; vocational training; occupational position; employment; household income; size of household; composition of household; respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household; characteristics of person managing household; year of household founding; number of persons in household with their own income; residential status; readiness for a telephone interview. Also encoded was: city reference number; place of work; date of interview.
